Project Proposal

Going into our week-long Thanksgiving break my group had nearly none of our official project proposal completed. To simplify the process of completing the proposal each of us was assigned roles - in part based on what our overall role would be in the production of our film. I was in charge of the cover page, storyboard, and recce report/risk assessment, Sophie was in charge of the genre statement, call sheet, and casting report, Kim was in charge of the sound design statement, and Bella was in charge of the shot list.

The break began and there was not much communication between us. I had the expectation that everything would be completed and sent to me so I could submit it by the deadline, and I expressed that to our group.

Between the wifi at my house being broken for the first 4 days of the break and then being out of town/busy most of the week though, my time and ability to complete my part were limited. However, I managed to find the time toward the end of the break and completed my part. Thankfully I had already completed the storyboard during class the prior week, which limited how much work I needed to do. The recce report and risk assessment were quite easy due to how low risk, controlled, and safe our area was. By Sunday night before school started again my part had been completed.

Sunday night I sent out a message asking that everyone please send me their part for the project proposal. By Monday morning I had received an email from Sophie and Bella with their respective parts, but not from Kim. We managed to get a hold of Kim, she was unfortunately on a field trip and had limited to no wifi/reception. Due to this, despite having her part completed she could not get it to me, nor my teacher by the deadline.

I emailed the project proposal to my teacher with only mine, Sophie, and Bella's part, clarifying the situation with Kim. He was very understanding of the situation with Kim, and overall loved our project proposal. With the project proposal now completed, we could begin filming by our next class.
