Creating the Storyboard
Following the first meeting, we discussed and assigned roles for the project proposal. My primary roles as cinematographer for the project proposal would be creating the storyboard, shot list, and (eventually when shooting) the shot log. I would also be collaborating with Gabby on the script, genre statement, parts of the recce/risk report, and casting.

Below is the storyboard which I created for our film:
Creating a storyboard was extremely difficult as even though I'd already visualized many things in my head, creating the storyboard I also had to realize what was realistic and what wasn't. In creating the storyboard my mentality changed - instead of thinking of it in terms of how I would see it, I began to think in terms of shots. When I began thinking of how this would be seen through shots it became much easier to create the storyboard.
Now that it was done, once it comes time to film (in addition to the shot list) I will have an easier time framing shots because I know what I want to see and what should be seen within each of the shots.
